Our Library
The Library at Windham Presbyterian Church contains an impressive collection of books, videos, and music to appeal to every age and Christian interest.
The collection is open to the community and is designed to be self-serve. All items are cataloged and searches can be done on the computer just inside the door. The materials are arranged on the shelves by categories for easy browsing and there are posted signs to guide borrowers. The library is located on the sanctuary level of the building and is open whenever the building is open. The volunteers can be contacted by leaving a message in the book return box in the library, or by e-mail library@windhamchurch.org.
Borrowing Policy:
-
Any responsible person within Windham and the surrounding communities may sign out materials. Children old enough to write their names may sign out books, but DVD and CD borrowers need to be at least 13 years old. Borrowers should write their name, phone, and date borrowed on the card legibly. Leave the card in the marked box on top of the Children’s section. Return reminder cards are available in the card box so borrowers can jot down a reminder of when the item is due back.
-
In consideration for other borrowers please return books within four weeks, CDs and DVDs in one week. Additional time is allowed for teaching use or long-term study. Please contact a library crew member when more time is needed.
To protect the privacy of borrowers, names are blacked out on return. Please return all materials to return box on the desk. Please do not take materials from the return box that are signed out to another borrower. And always sign out borrowed books. -
The library is maintained by a volunteer crew. Inquiries may be made by e-mail to library@windhamchurch.org, by calling the church office, or in the library return box.
