Youth Group Game Night

Join us Friday, October 2nd, 6:00 pm. Anyone in grades 6 - 12 is welcome to come enjoy an evening filled with good food, great company, and lots of games to try! At this game night, you’ll get to choose from a wide variety of board games and crafts to share with friends, and you can bring your favorite game along to share!
Family Fire Pit Night

Sunday, October 4th, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Families of all ages are welcome to spend time together around the fire! S’mores supplies and warm apple cider will be provided, and you are welcome to bring dinner to cook on the fire. Bring a camp chair, a blanket, and a friend!
Pumpkins and PitMasters

Join us for Pumpkins and PitMasters on Sunday, October 25 right after the worship service. We will enjoy Barbecued meats of all kinds and all the fixin's of a great Barbecue picnic. Games and friendly competition for Best Pie and Best BBQ Sauce begin after church, and lunch is served as soon as we can get it off the grill. Please invite your friends--there will be plenty to eat and plenty to enjoy for all!

Gilbert is the Executive Director of Love With Actions in Rwanda. He will bring us a message of Christ’s love and hope and share what God has been doing through Love With Actions (LWA), an inclusive school for children with and without disabilities in Rwanda.

Before and after the service, handmade items created by mothers of children with disabilities at LWA will be available for purchase. These items include sewn bags, aprons, oven mitts, stuffed animals, backpacks, handmade cards, and woven baskets. Money from the sales helps provide children at LWA with life-changing surgeries, education, essential medication, and other important services. In addition to financial support, the sewing and knitting groups at LWA provide spiritual and emotional support by building relationships with other moms facing similar challenges.

Items may be purchased by cash, check (made out to St. James Presbyterian Church, with “Love With Actions” written in the memo line), or Click here. Prices will be available on Sunday.

Please also join Gilbert, who will provide a brief presentation and slideshow on Love With Actions in the Youth Room at 11:00 am. Grab your coffee and donut, then head upstairs for a lively discussion to hear how God is moving there!

Ongoing Weekly Events

Youth Group

YG meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm throughout the school year. Anyone in grades 6 - 12 is invited to come enjoy laughter and games, a snack, a chance to catch up by sharing "highs and lows" from the past week, and to spend time exploring God's word and learning more about our faith together. Women's Book Study

The Women’s Virtual Book Discussion group is reading The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer.
We meet virtually, the 1st and 3rd Monday from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. We share a love of books, share our lives and our prayers and the love of Christ together. Contact Mary Beth Goodell at mb.goodell@gmail.com with questions or for information.
Worship Services

We gather for worship every Sunday morning at 9:30 am! The service includes singing, prayers, greeting time, ministry moments, a children’s chat, readings from the Bible, and preaching. Learn more about attending a worship service.
Sunday School

Starting Sunday, September 14th!
We have Sunday School during the worship service for kids in preschool - 5th grade! Kids start the morning out in the big worship service with their families, and are dismissed for Sunday School after our Children’s Chat. We get to enjoy Bible stories, crafts, and even games during our time together! And at the end of church, kids are picked up from the classroom. Learn more
Nursery Care

We provide nursery care during our worship service every Sunday morning for infants and children ages 0 - 3. Our Nursery Caretaker, Nancy Lynch, and a team of dedicated volunteers provide care and age-appropriate opportunities to learn about God each week. Learn more
Women's Bible Study

Starting Tuesday, September 2nd!
This study meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am in the library and is currently studying the Christmas story, with a focus on the women involved.
Men's Bible Study

Beginning Tuesday, January 13th, a new study subject will begin. We will be looking at the letter of James using Sam Allberry’s book, James For You. Wait a minute; James? Doesn’t he contradict Paul? Didn’t Martin Luther think it was as pithy as straw and should be removed from the canon? Well come learn with us what Jesus’ half brother has to say about living practically following the teachings of Christ.
We will meet at 7:00 pm in the Adult Christian Ed room, across from the Church Library. Contact Jim Morton for more information.
Music and Prayer Time

Join us on Tuesdays at 9:00 am in the church sanctuary. This time for prayer and worship, led by David Mora, is a great way to begin your day with reflection and peace.
Exploring the Scriptures

Our small groups meet on Wednesday nights via Zoom, studying questions on the coming Sunday's Scripture text.

GriefShare

Weekly GriefShare meetings, hosted at Windham Presbyterian Church, are held on Mondays from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. You may join at any time, and many return for more than one session. There is a small fee to cover the cost of the workbook; scholarships are available.

High School Hangouts

These monthly get togethers for High School Students take place on the second Sunday of each month, and are a great opportunity for fellowship and good conversation.
