Summer Story Time
Children in preschool through grade 5 are welcome to join us during worship for an age-appropriate time of exploring faith-based stories together!
Kids begin the morning in the main worship service with their families and are dismissed for Story Time after the Children’s Chat. During story time, children read for our first thirty minutes together. A chapter or two from this summer’s book, Little Pilgrim’s Progress, is read aloud, after which children can choose their own books to read or have read to them. For the last 15 minutes or so, children can choose between activity stations - one for building toys and one for art, or continue reading. At the end of the service, children can be picked up from their classroom.
On the first Sunday of each month, children remain in the worship service. On these weeks we provide coloring and activity pages that relate to the sermon topic, and we aim to make the service kid-friendly! We believe that being present in worship at a young age helps children to become life-long worshipers!
All Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers undergo a nation-wide background check prior to serving, and again on an annual basis.

Join us as a family for kid-friendly walk meetups this summer:
Saturday, July 18th, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., Foster’s Pond, Windham, NH
Saturday, August 22nd, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., Windham Town Forest
And for a family fire pit & s’mores night on Sunday, July 12th, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at WPC!

Church Camp
At this year’s Illumination Station Church Camp, we get to shine a light on who Jesus really is! Church Camp is a great opportunity to spend time together while learning about God, dancing, creating crafts, playing games, sharing snacks, and engaging with thoughtful teaching about our partners in service and about the Bible. Church Camp is also a great opportunity to make new friends.
Students entering grades K – 6 are invited to camp. Our 2027 camp week will be June 28 – July 1, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm each day, with an optional lunch hour until 1:00 pm.
