Interim Pastor - Rev. Dallas Bradel
Dallas Bradel is a native of western Pennsylvania. She was a very little girl when she first met Jesus at a tiny, Methodist Sunday school. And although she did not grow up in the church, she has fond memories of attending VBS when a Mrs. Griggs with a large station wagon drove kids from her neighborhood to a nearby Presbyterian church one summer. Her childhood dialog with God over the years led her to seek a church home when she went off to college. While getting her degree in German at Lehigh University, Dallas was discipled by a sorority sister. She committed her life to Christ at about the same time she decided to go to law school, and while she did graduate and pass the bar exam, her heart was in the local church. There she actively ministered to children even as she continued to grow in her own faith under the discipleship of the Director of Women’s Ministry. When Dallas told her mentor that she sensed God calling her to full-time ministry, she was told: “If you can be happy doing anything else, do it.” Dallas went off to Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a heart for ministering to children and young families in the local church. She earned an M.Div. and M.A. in Counseling, then served as a Director of Children’s Ministry in Connecticut before being ordained in the PC (USA) and serving as an Associate Pastor for Christian Education at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius, North Carolina. When that church went through a split and her position was closed, Dallas returned to New England where she’s convinced God will bring revival to his Church. She has a passion for teaching God’s word and loving God’s people, and a clear call to make disciples here on the rocky soil of New England. And although she has been called to singleness, Dallas continues to champion young families and children as they grow in Christ. She is excited to serve WPC during this time of transition, getting to know God’s people here, seeing where God is at work in this community, and preparing the congregation for its next installed pastor. In her spare time, Dallas likes to take leisurely walks, explore local history, museums and antique shops, read, and play the piano.
Youth Director Aaron Stetson
Aaron, his wife Elizabeth, and daughter came here from Vermont. Aaron graduated in 2002 from Gordon College with a degree in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministries. He is also a licensed electrician and worked for a contractor in Massachusetts for six years before coming to WPC. After graduation from Gordon, he served for two years as field staff with Young Life in Redding, Connecticut. His hobbies include skiing, hiking, running, or just about anything outdoors.
