Moses Cyiza

Moses Cyiza was born on June 15, 1994. The second of four children, he has an older sister and two younger brothers. Moses lives with his mother and siblings in Rwamagana, Rwanda. Their home is made of mud brick with a dirt floor and a tin roof.

Moses is in fifth grade. He enjoys soccer, other ball games and running. He also likes art and drawing. Moses has never seen a computer or a television.

Moses has numerous family responsibilities. These include caring for his younger siblings, cleaning, running errands, carrying water, and gathering firewood. In addition, Moses cares for four goats he was able to purchase with money donated by the WPC Sunday School children.

Moses has been sponsored by Windham Presbyterian Church since January 2002. The offering collected each week during Sunday School is used to sponsor Moses through Compassion International. The sponsorship provides food, shelter, clothing, education, health care and Christian education.
